For July’s Catalyst we were treated to a nicotine-filled trip down memory lane courtesy of Mark Hewitt’s talk on fag packets of the 70s and 80s. Dan Mudford explored the life of American photographer Lee Miller (who came to reside in Sussex) and Rachel Neubuerger unravelled the tragic circumstances behind the death of Buddy Holly, Richie Valens and the Big Bopper when they embarked on a winter tour during one of the coldest winters in America’s history.
Lewes Catalyst Club returns in September to celebrate its first year. Guest speakers will be artist Becky Edmunds, head druid Philip Carr-Gomm and Ben Bailey (who spoke last year about the politics of board games).
Being our first anniversary attendance is compulsory.
